Welcome to Mrs. Brown's homepage.
I have been a teacher at Whittier Elementary for the past 12 years. I have taught 2nd grade for the past 2 years and in prior years I have taught Kindergarten, fourth and fifth grade. I am new this year the the ELL Department and I look forward to my new position. I am an adjunct professor at Frederick Community College and teach ED/PSYC classes in the evening or on the weekends.
I have an 21 year old daughter, Autumn, that works hard as a waitress and a husband who is currently studying to be a pastor. I own a 90 pound mut named Champ and two adopted cats named Toby and Resee' Cup. My husband and I love the outdoors and take long walks in the woods.
In my experience, students are coming to school motivated to learn and excited to grow in their language and reading skills. I am focused on individual student growth and am confident that each student will rise to the occasion each day in their social and academic life. I am privileged to know your child and witness this year's accomplishments. I am always available to you for questions or to express any concerns. During the day you may leave a voicemail at 240-236-3150 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I will respond as soon as I can.
This will be a fabulous year and I look forward to meeting you and your child.
Repectfully, Lisa Brown
