I am excited to begin my third year at Whittier Elementary School and my thirteenth year teaching for FCPS.  I began my teaching career at Centerville Elementary where I spent six years teaching 5th grade and four years teaching 2nd grade.  I am originally from Shippensburg, Pennsylvania but I have lived in Frederick since I began teaching.  I attended Bloomsburg University in PA and received a dual bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.  In 2010, I graduated with a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Hood College in Frederick.  Since I am from PA, I am a loyal fan of the Philadelphia Eagles football team.  I am also a huge animal lover.  I decided to become a teacher after spending time in my grandmother’s classroom as a child.  I absolutely love teaching and getting to know the students!
