Welcome to the 2012-13 school year!  This is my fourteenth year teaching, (twelfth in Frederick County). I attended Salisbury State University and graduated in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. I also have a Master’s of Science in Reading Specialization degree from Hood College.  I am excited to be the Math Leader at W.E.S., as well as a math and reading intervention teacher.  Along with my duties as an interventionist, I am also the Math League teacher for 5th graders that qualify for this advanced mathematics competition.  If you have any questions about Mathematics here at Walkersville Elementary, please email me at: robert.purgason@fcps.org.  You can also leave me a voicemail at 240-236-1000.
