All About Me

Welcome to our third grade page! I am very excited to start a new year with your children in third grade. I am looking forward to see the great progress that your children make this year.

A little about me....
I was born in NY and then moved to Walkersville when I was 9 years old with my family. I actually went through the Walkersville schools and attended Walkersville Elementary as a child. I went to Frostburg State University and recieved a degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. I have also received my masters in Early Childhood Education from the University of Phoenix. I am also a certified PE and Health teacher. I am also an assistant coach for the Walkersville High School Girl's Basketball Team.

After college, I got married to my husband, Matt, and we moved to South Carolina. After 4 years, I decided I wanted to move back to Maryland, so here we are. We have two boys, Hunter who is 12 and is attending 7th grade at Mother Seton, and Brayden who is 9 years old and is in 4th grade here at WES.
This is my 16th year teaching. I have taught kindergarten, 5th grade, and 1st grade. This will be my first year teaching 3rd grade and i am very excited about this new adventure.

It is so important to me to have open communication with families. Please don't hesitate to call, email, or schedule a conference if you have any concerns. We need to work together to best benefit your child. I would also love for any of you to volunteer in our classroom, so if you are interested, please let me know.

Let's have a great year of learning!
