FCPS provides scholarship information as a resource only and does not endorse any sponsor of any particular scholarship program.  



A list of scholarships has been posted on Naviance. Students can download the applications through Naviance or pick up an application in the guidance office. Transcript request should be made through the guidance office NOT through Naviance.

- The College Board provides information on scholarships and financial aid in addition to their testing information.

FastWEB - - a free searchable database of 400,000 scholarships.

The Financial Aid Information Page - - The most comprehensive listing of financial aid information available online. From financial aid calculators to scholarship searches to the latest scams, students and parents can find out about it here.

FAFASA on the Web - - Families can now apply for financial aid online in a secure encrypted format.

Student Loan Marketing Association - - Provides useful information regarding the student load process and financial aid in general.
Hobsons Collegeview web search for colleges, explore financial aid and discover your options.

American School directory - - An online guide to all 106,000 K-12 schools with key facts and links

LD Online - - A guide to learning disabilities for parents, students and teachers.

National Association for College Admission Counseling - - NACAC has plenty of information for counselors and for parents at their site.

National Association of Secondary School Principals - - Although probably of more interest to counselors that to students, the NASSP does make the Common Application available at their website.

NCAA - - The NCAA provides a wealth of information to student athletes and their parents.

National Information and Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities - - NICHCY provides information on disabilities and disability related issues for families, educators, and other professionals.
Academic Common Market- is a website that lists schools in the degree program to reduce out-of-state tuition.
Career Guidance Foundation - - For years CGF has allowed schools and libraries to get thousands of college catalogues on microfiche. Now the company has online access to 7,800 colleges and graduate school catalogues. Site licenses are available to schools.

College Admission Office Email addresses - - A handy, although incomplete, source of email addresses of admission offices throughout the country.

CollegeEdge - - CollegeEdge maintains sites for students and counselors. In addition to a wealth of college admissions information, CollegeEdge has online college applications.

CollegeNET - - A standard collection of information and links on colleges and financial aid. One interesting feature is a page linking to live cameras at college throughout the US.

College Newspapers-

Students can get a feel for campus life by reading the college newspaper.

College Quest - - Peterson's college super site.

CSU Mentor - - Students thinking about a CSU system can find the campus that is right for them and apply online.

FishNet - - Their search functions are not a useful as come other sites, but students can easily sign up to receive literature from participating colleges.

Go College - - Another good example of a useful college search site.

College Board - - A wonderful resource for counselors and students. A wealth of information on tests such as the SAT I, SAT II and APs. Also information on financial aid and online applications. Students can register on line for the SAT.
Educational Testing Service - - Students need to visit the College Board to sign up for the SAT but ETS, the writes of the test, do make sample questions available.

FairTest - - For a critical look at standardized tests, counselors and students can visit the FairTest site.

Ivy West Educational Services - - Information on the PSAT, SAT I, SAT II, and ACT as well as access to free exams and test prep software from the leaders in one-on-one test preparations.
Career Resource Center - - This site maintains a comprehensive database of links to career oriented websites.
