Virtual Book Exchange
Students can use the TRES Library Media Center catalog to place up to 3 books on hold. Then, from 8am - 6pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, families will pick up their bagged/bundled books from the tubs outside the school front doors. Participation is encouraged but not required.
Steps to Participate:
Step 1: Check your account for any outstanding items or charges. These must be resolved before new items may be checked out.
Step 2: Ask a grownup at home to complete this quick Virtual Book Participation Agreement. *PLEASE COMPLETE ONE FORM FOR EACH STUDENT*
Step 3: Place holds! Directions can be found here. Please note, placing a hold on an item does NOT guarantee that it will be available for pickup immediately; it just puts you on the waiting list for the book.
Step 4: Check your account to see if the holds are ready. If yes, they are available for pickup. If you placed holds, it’s a good idea to check every Tuesday and Thursday so that you know when they are ready and don’t miss your pickup window!
Step 5: Pick up holds! Holds will be available for pickup on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 8am and 6pm in front of TRES. Items will be held for 5 school days and then returned if not picked up.
Step 6: Return books! Books are checked out for 2 weeks, and can be renewed if needed. There will be a return box in front of TRES on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8am - 6pm. Please note that returned books may still appear on your account for up to 10 days after return, due to the teaching schedule and quarantining/safety protocols.
Please contact Mrs. Levine through Schoology or via email (Julia.Levine@fcps.org) with any questions. Happy reading!
