My career with FCPS began in 2000 when I taught art at Whittier and Myersville Elementary Schools.
I helped open Oakdale Elementary in 2001 where I stayed for the next 10 years.
In 2010, I transferred to TPS and have really enjoyed teaching in my own community ever since!
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Art from Salisbury University and my Master's degree in Art Education
from Towson University. My goal is that each student will develop their knowledge, skills, and ideas through
discussions and the creation of original art. My philosophy in regards to the instruction in my classroom is
based on the belief that artists are creative problem solvers. I hope to strengthen their self-confidence as
they make decisions and take risks. I also hope to nuture the "whole child" in helping students to
make cross-curricular connections in their learning.
I truly find great joy in getting to know every little artist that walks through my door!
