Welcome to Kindergarten at Thurmont Primary School.  My name is Rachel Hamscher and I am excited to be your child's teacher.  I am very fortunate to be working and living in the Thurmont community.  I  have a  daughter, Maria, who is a registered nurse and a beautiful granddaughter.
 I am a graduate of Slippery Rock University, PA and completed my Master's work at McDaniel College and several other universities in Maryland.   While teaching at Thurmont Primary I have been awarded "Teacher of the Year" from the Thurmont Lions Club .
