Hi.  My name is Chris Barnhart and this is my 28th year of teaching Physical Education in Frederick County Public Schools.  I taught 8 years at Thurmont Elementary and this is my 20th year at Thurmont Primary.  I graduated from Frostburg State University and I have my Master's Degree in Education.   I live in Thurmont with my wife Jantia and our 16 year old daughter Chayney who is currently an Senior at Catoctin High School.
  
In PE, my goal is to provide a variety of activities that encourages children to value fitness and nutrition.  I hope to foster a lifelong desire to be healthy and active.
