Job Title:
Name:
Department:

My name is Caroline Jones and I have been the full-time speech-language pathologist ("speech teacher") here at Thurmont Primary School since 2004. Before joining TPS, I worked for 7 years at Maryland School for the Deaf, and previous to that, 4 years at McCullough Elementary School in New Castle, Delaware.
I grew up in Delaware, but I also lived in Sacramento, CA for 2 years when I was 8 years old. I went to the University of Delaware and majored in Entomology (bugs!) and Plant Pathology. However, it is hard to teach bugs anything so I went back to school at West Chester University and got a Master's Degree in Communication Disorders.
I live on a farm in Fairfield, Pennsylvania with my husband Brett and teenage daughter Eliza. We have lots of pets: goats, chickens, cats, dogs, a sheep and horses. My other interests include art, vegan cooking, reading, gardening, and boat-building.
Speech and language grow rapidly during the primary school years. If you are wondering how your child measures up in the areas of speech and/or language, please call your friendly SLP (speech-language pathologist) at Thurmont Primary School.
And always - please feel free to call or email with any questions.
