I am a “homegrown” FCPS graduate! After graduating from Brunswick High School, I attended James Madison University to earn a Bachelors in Business Administration. After a short time in the business world, I realized my passion was working with children. I enrolled in Johns Hopkins University, where I received a Masters of Arts in Teaching. During my “decade-plus” career in Frederick County Public Schools I’ve worked at four schools, holding positions in second and third grades, reading intervention, as a school-based Teacher Specialist, and most recently, as an Assistant Principal at Centerville Elementary School. I am thrilled to join Spring Ridge Elementary this year! My goal is to support our staff in delivering rigorous, creative instruction that challenges each child to grow and learn every day. As I firmly believe that staff, students, and families are all a part of our learning community, please feel free to contact me with any concerns or questions that may arise throughout the school year. On a personal note, I live in Middletown with my husband, Matt, and our two daughters, Rachel, 8, who is in third grade at Middletown Elementary and Sydney, 5, who is in Kindergarten at Middletown Primary. I enjoy traveling, going to Disney World, playing board games, and seeing musicals!
