My name is Niki Kayser and for as long as I can remember I have wanted to be a school counselor! I graduated from West Virginia University with a B.A. in Psychology and then received a M.S. in School Counseling. This will be my first year at SES and my first year in Maryland! I think it's great to be working at a PBIS school that encourages students to follow the SES Way: Safe, Engaged, and Self-Motivated! I’m so happy to be here and look forward to working with the SES family!
My counseling mission is to support the academic, personal/social, and career development of all students and help them develop the skills to become responsible citizens and lifelong learners. Services I offer include classroom guidance lessons, small group counseling, and individual counseling.
Topics could include: Friendship/Social Skills, Anxiety/Worry, Grief and Loss, Self-Esteem, Conflict Resolution, Anger Management, Career Exploration...and the list could go on! :)
When I’m not working as a school counselor, I enjoy traveling with my husband & three dogs, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with my family & friends.
If you have questions or are in need of specific support for your student, I can be reached at (240) 236-6019 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. I look forward to hearing from you!
