OHS 1:1 Chromebook Program

OHS is a 1:1 Chromebook school.  All students will be issued a Chromebook during the first week of school.  Students may choose to bring their own device to school such as a personal Chromebook, laptop, IPad, etc.   A cell phone does not meet this requirement.

Please bring your completed and signed forms and payment receipt (online or in person receipt) to Back to School Night on Wednesday, August 29.  These forms will be collected by the block 3 SET teacher during the class schedule rotations.

Fees and Forms for the 1:1 Chromebook Program

The yearly technology fee for the Chromebook program is $60.  This may be paid by check or cash at Oakdale High School or via the school cash online link:  https://frederickcounty.schoolcashonline.com/  This fee provides coverage for accidental damage that may occur during normal use of the device.  If you do not wish to pay the $60 technology fee, you may waive this fee and choose to assume all liability for the repair of the device should damage occur.  The program and coverages are described in the documents linked below.

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)

Some students may choose to bring their own device.  If so, please complete the BYOD form in lieu of the 1:1 Chromebook form.
