Music Curriculum

During the month of September and October fifth grade music students in Mrs. Seiler's class will be discovering various forms such as Theme and Variations and Rondo. They wil also be reviewing instruments of the orchestra, dynamic levels and tempo terms. Students have been actively engaged  in creating their own Theme and Variations.

Fourth grade music students are distinguishing between many different rhythm patterns. The new concept is syncopation. It will be explored through movement, song and written expression.

Third grade music students are demonstrating proper singing technique and basic rhythm patterns. Patterns consis of quarter note, half note, a pair of eighth notes and quarter rest.

Second grade music students are determining quarter note, half note, a pair of eighth notes and quarter rest. They are also studying Percussion family of instruments.

First grade and Kindergarten students are distinquishing between beat and rhythm and Percusssion family of instruments.
