NFES Welcomes Ms Tracy Poquette, our new Principal
Hi North Frederick Falcons!
I am truly honored to become part of the NFES community, which has already given me such a warm welcome! In just the few interactions I’ve had with staff, students and families, it’s become abundantly clear that this school is a unique and special place. I am humbled and most appreciative of the opportunity presented to me to become a member of this educational family.
I am transferring from Valley Elementary where I served as principal for the last three years. Prior to that experience, I was an assistant principal at Hillcrest Elementary for one year and Whittier Elementary for two years. I live in New Market with my husband, Damon and three children. My oldest son, Ben is a recent WVU graduate, my middle daughter, Matti is a SEIA in Frederick County and is pursuing her teaching degree at Mt. St. Mary’s and my youngest, Drew is excited to start his junior year at James Madison University.
One of the most important aspects of my work here at North Frederick will be building strong relationships with students, teachers and families. You’ll find me in the hallways, classrooms and on the playground getting to know your child(ren). My passion has been and always will be educating students. With that in mind, you can expect I will work diligently with teachers to make sure our students are exposed to curriculum and instruction both engaging and challenging. I have an open door policy and welcome your input and ideas. I look forward to meeting you and hearing what makes you, and your child(ren) proud to be a NFES Falcon!
