Please click here to enter the MVMPCS 2017-2018 Communications Contact Form. As the new school year starts, it's important to make sure your family contact information is up to date. Please note, all families, new and returning, must complete the contact form at the start of each school year.
This form is comprehensive and will take approximately 5-10 minutes of your time. This one form allows parents to add and update contact information for the following: School Directory, School News Distribution List, Community Chat Forum, MMCI, and areas of interest for Volunteer Opportunities. ALL families are required to update their information at the start of each school year.
There are many ways news is shared within our school community. Please read the following overview of the various Communications channels at MVM!
School News Distribution List
(via Google Groups) - This is our main distribution list. Parents must sign up for this list to receive our weekly electronic newsletter, eNews. eNews is our Parent Newsletter and main source of regular communication to Parents and Staff. GC Meeting Minutes and other important announcements will also be distributed here.
**It is mandatory for at least one member of each MVM family to sign up for the School News Distribution List. The deadline to sign up is September 22, 2017. As of October 15, 2017, a NEW list will be created with updated information.**
Community Chat Forum
(via Google Groups) - This is our community forum. Anyone within our community can post and reply to ALL here (Parents, Committee Chairs, Teachers and Staff). This forum is used to communicate questions, needs, and happenings within our community. It is recommended that at least one member of each family signs up for our Community Chat Forum.
Find Out First
FOF is a FCPS service that provides urgent updates and other FCPS news such as school closings, emergency notices, and county-wide reminders, via email and/or text. FOF is also used by MVM Administration to share urgent updates and news. FOF will only be used to share PUBLIC information, as anyone in our wider community may sign up.
**It is strongly recommended that at least one member of each family signs up for Find Out First.** Please click the linked image for the Find Out First login page.
Facebook is used to share school events and other information to our community, as well as our "fans" and the wider community. Click the linked image to check out and follow our Facebook page!
You will receive periodic updates directly from your child's teacher. The type and frequency of classroom communications varies by teacher, and electronic updates will be sent to whichever email address(es) the teacher has on file for your family. Please contact your child's teacher with any questions.
