Kindergarten thru 8th grade: Monday thru Thursday: 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
❑ Doors open at 8:50 a.m. Dismissal begins at 3:30 p.m. (2:30 p.m. on Fridays) and student pick-up shall be no later than 3:45 p.m. (2:45 p.m. on Fridays). Students not picked up by 3:45 p.m. will be required to sign up for aftercare even if parents call to say they will be late. That is why we have aftercare on campus and parents are asked to honor staff work time by arriving on time.
❑ Car line is the most efficient way to pick up your student. Please follow the map given to each family on the first day. Please have your car line pass in the window.
3 & 4 Year-Old Primary Program: Monday - Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
❑ Three and four-year-olds in the Primary Program may arrive as early as 8:45 a.m. but not later than 9:00 a.m.
❑ Three and four-year-olds are dismissed at 11:30 a.m. including early dismissal days. MVMPCS three and four-year-olds do not attend when school is delayed 2 or 3 hours.
Late Arrivals: Please make every effort to make sure your child arrives at school on time. Arriving late is disruptive to the classroom and very stressful for your child. If your child arrives after 9:20 a.m., you must park the car and come to the office to complete a late pass for your child.
Early Dismissals: Please refer to your FCPS Calendar (distributed the first week of school or at www.fcps.org) for scheduled early dismissals. In addition, specific times for MVMPCS dismissal will be announced in our school’s enews and FCPS & school website.

Children are required to attend school a set number of hours. Please make every effort to schedule doctor appointments after 3 p.m.To sign your child out early during the school day, a parent must come to the office. It is helpful to send a note to your child’s teacher the morning of the anticipated early dismissal.
Security Measures: Any person wishing to enter the building after 9:00 a.m. will need to be buzzed in by the office. Visitors may be asked to show identification at the parking lot door. All visitors to the school must first sign in at the School Office and be issued a visitor’s badge. For security purposes, all entrances to the building will be kept locked during the school day.
School Office hours are from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
