It is an honor to be principal at Monocacy Elementary School. I am originally from Abbottstown, PA. I received my Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education from Penn State University. In 2008 I received my Master's Degree in Administration from McDaniel College. My career began at Henry G. Ferguson Elementary School in Prince George's County where I taught 4th and 5th grades for 7 years. In 2007 I became the Instructional Specialist at William A. Diggs Elementary School in Charles County. I spent the last 6 years (3 as vice principal and 3 as principal) at C. Paul Barnhart Elementary School in Charles County (2010-2016).
I have a wonderful wife and two phenomenal boys. There is nothing more I enjoy then spending time with my family.
I BELIEVE that every child can be successful. I will be an advocate for every student, and work tirelessly to help each child reach their maximum potential. I make every decision based on what I would want for my sons. A strong parent-school partnership is essential, and I look forward to working with all of our families.
