Foundations of Technology

This course involves a broad study of technology and how it affects every aspect of our lives.  Students address crucial issues, current and future technological problems and opportunities associated with technology.  In lab and classroom activities students experience ways to create, use, improve, control, and assess a variety of technologies including:  mechanical, structural, electrical, fluid, optical, and bio technologies.  This course satisfies the one-credit graduation requirement for Technology Education.

There is rarely homework in this course due to software and material limitations.  Students focus on the twelve step design process and are encouraged to document the process in their journal.
