Little Lancers is closed every Friday for high school classroom instruction, planning, staff meeting and cleaning of our preschool equipment. The Little Lancer preschool opens for the fall term the on or about October 15th and runs through the second week in January. Our spring term begins the first full week in March and runs through May. Approximately 10 to 11 weeks of instruction is provided for each term.
Although registration is open all year, you will be notified on or before June 15th, if your child is accepted into the Little Lancer Preschool Program for the fall semester. All signed paperwork is required by August 30th with full fall tuition payment of $230. If paperwork is not received by August 30th, your child’s enrollment will be nullified. Preschool students enrolled for the fall semester are generally enrolled in our spring semester. Tuition is $230 for each semester. All students who are not selected will be placed on our Wait List.
The Little Lancer Preschool is open to children 3 and 4 years of age. Three-year-old children must be three years prior to September 1. All children MUST be toilet trained. Children using Pull-Ups are unable to attend.
The Little Lancer Preschool lab is staffed by LHS Child Development students. Students enrolled in these courses are given the opportunity to learn and apply on a practical level, the curriculum taught in Child Development classes. High school students work under the direct supervision of a professional certified early childhood accredited staff member. Their warmth and enthusiasm, provide an excellent adult-child ratio, which insures individual attention for each preschool child.
The Little Lancer Philosophy
We strive to facilitate and foster the growth and development of young children physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually in a happy, safe and nurturing environment that encourages individuality, self-discovery, cooperation, inquisitiveness and respect for themselves, others and their surroundings, through developmentally appropriate activities as we guide each child’s development for kindergarten readiness.
