This website allows students to create 3-D pop up books online.  The free account allows students to create up to 10 books while paid accounts offer perks, such as voice narration, unlimited books, etc.

This website allows students to create their own stories using a gallery of illustrations.  The website is closely monitored so that inappropriate content is removed and students are safe to comment on each other’s work.  The website has also an accompanying app.

My StoryMaker

Provided by the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, this website walks primary students through the steps of creating a story, from choosing characters to a goal.  The StoryMaker website is visual based and students can easily drag and drop settings, characters and more.

Into the Book

Into the Book provides students with interactive games and activities to help strengthen their writing skills.  Students can choose which skills, such as visualizing or prewriting, that they wish to strengthen and complete the activity.

FCPL offers a variety of ebook databases for students.  From picture books to nonfiction books to magazines, the resources will offer materials for a variety of interests and needs.  An FCPL library card is needed to access most of the databases.

Axis 360 is an ebook database provided by FCPS to all FCPS students. Students can use their library card number and pin to access and virtually check out the books.  They can read them on their computer or digital devices.
