Hi, I am Mrs. Kyra Fry.

I am so excited to be the Literacy Specialist at Emmitsburg Elementary School.  This is my 18th year teaching with FCPS.  I have worked as a first grade teacher for 7 years, a fourth grade teacher for 4 years, and a reading intervention teacher for 3 years.  I taught at Thurmont Elementary School, Thurmont Primary School, Carroll Manor Elementary School, and am currently at Emmitsburg Elementary school.

I completed my undergraduate degree at Towson University in Towson, Maryland. In 2006,  I achieved my Masters degree in Reading Education from Hood College in Frederick, MD.

My husband Rick and I have been married for 10 years. We have an 8 year old named Carson and 5 year old twins, Mason and Maria.  They attend Thurmont Primary School.

I am so excited to work with the students and families at Emmitsburg Elementary School. Together we will watch, "Every Eagle Soar".
