Hi Deer Crossing families! My name is Eileen Fitzgerald and I have been teaching at Deer Crossing for 13 years. I attended Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia and received my Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education in 1995. I earned my Master's Degree in Reading Specialist from McDaniel College in 2011. Teaching for over 20 years, I have spent 17 of those years in kindergarten and 3 in first grade teaching in both Frederick County and the Archdiocese of Washington. I love both reading and writing and hope to write a children’s book someday. My fiancé and I live out in the country near Emmitsburg where we enjoy our horse (Lady) and our cat (Shinny)---both are spoiled rotten!
