Web sites are carefully selected and monitored at CMES.

Web sites are reviewed and generally grouped according to grade level.  Please know that these sites have been reviewed by the User Support Specialist and may have some pop-ups, ads, and links to other sites.  As with all web sites, adult supervision is recommended.

WEB SITE OF THE WEEK:

Earth Day.  Earth Day is April 22 of every year.  This year it falls on a Tuesday. On the Sheppard Software website there are activities such as word games, memory games and puzzles related to this annual day of celebration. 

Older Featured Web Sites:

Spring. SHEPPARD SOFTWARE. SPRING GAMES & ACTIVITIES. This site has lots of games related to Spring. The first day of Spring is Thursday, March 20, 2014. Please know that this site has ads and links to other sites. Parental supervision is recommended.


Autism Awareness Week.  10 Things Every Child With Autism Wishes You Knew.  This article by Ellen Notbohm provides perspective from autistic children into how we should interact with those with this disability. This is in conjunction with all of the activities for Autism Awareness Week. 

Valentine's Day Interactive Online Games for Kids.  Lots of games for Heart Day.  Be advised there are ads and links on this page.  Please use parental supervision.

Groundhog Day.  Groundhog Day is Sunday, February 2, 2014.  This site is dedicated exclusively to that event including what happens in Punxsutawney, PA and to Punxsutawney Phil.  There is a page for Teachers that includes lessons.  There are ads.  Please use parental supervision.

Chinese New Year.   This site offers information on the Chinese New Year which is Friday, January 31, 2014.  The Year of the Horse.  Here you can find puzzles, crafts, stories and coloring pages.  As there are ads and links to other web sites on this page, please use parental supervision.

multiplication, division.

Labor DaySite contains information about Labor Day such as history and presidential proclamations.  It also has activities and crafts.  Please be advised that the site does have ads.

National Zoo Webcams.  There are several webcams at the National Zoo in Washington, DC. You can watch live coverage of specific zoo animals A favorite is the Panda webcam.

Memorial Day.  This year it is celebrated on Monday, May 26, 2014.
