Work Study Program

The Work Study program gives students the opportunity to explore a possible career first hand while still in high school.  Students attend high school classes for part of the day and then are granted release time so they can go to work.  Work Study students are required to take Career Research & Development II in conjunction with their work experience.

Students need to keep accurate records of their work schedules and submit timecards to Mr. Gadra every Month for a grade.  Access to on-line timecards is below.

Grading Policy:
Grades are based on a point system. Students will receive grades on written work as well as a performance grade based on employer evaluations. The number of points that a student accumulates is divided by the total number of points available. This yields a percentage grade. The percentage grade is converted into a letter grade. Grades are determined by combining points from supervisor evaluations, signed contract submission, and monthly time cards. Turning in assignments late will result in the loss of credit. Current grades will be accessible over the Internet.
