Within the Fitness for Life Curriculum, students learn how to enjoy fitness throughout their lifetime. The students will learn many new skills that can be incorporated into fitness activities. There is a cognitive portion of the class which is assessed through Portfolios and a physical portion of the class, which requires students to participate and develop skills they can then take into the real world.
Learn how to monitor target heart rate through the use of monitors
Log and evaluate data through the use of heart rate monitors
Develop a fitness plan designed for their fitness level and in areas in which they enjoy
Evaluate their current fitness level and which areas need improvement
Analyze their goals and how to achieve what they have set for themselves
