This is my 4th year as an Assistant Principal at CES and my 23 year with FCPS. I was born and raised on a dairy farm her in Frederick County and graduated from Linganore High School. After high school, I received my masters in Elementary Education from Frostburg State University. While working on my masters in Educational Leadership with Hood College, I worked as a 5th grade teacher. I was promoted to administration in 2005 in order to continue my personal vision of helping students, staff and families establish a growth mindset about what can be accomplished when we present challenge, risk, motivation, pride and collaboration. I am blessed to live within the community in which I was raised. I live with my supportive husband, Byron, a healthy/handsome son, Robbie that has just started college, our two adorable and loving Pittbulls, two cats and a dozen chickens. I am also very fortunate to be the step-mom to two awesome people! Jacob recently graduated from Alderson Broaddus and is now working long hours for a security company. Becca is a 2nd grade teacher in Florida. She lives there with her soon to be husband, Jason (October 2017).
