Volunteer Opportunities

As a charter school with less total public funding than district schools, we are especially dependent upon the efforts of volunteers to maintain the operations of our schools. Two-parent families are expected to offer and document 30 volunteer hours per year; single-parent families are expected to offer and document 10 volunteer hours per year. Please note, that these hours are the least required and many volunteers far exceed these minimums.

Classrooms set up volunteer opportunities on our school Sign Up Genius page. Some shifts don't require volunteers to have training but others do; these are protected with a code that volunteers will receive after training.

Volunteers need to keep track of their hours. Sign Up Genius will track the hours you spend volunteering through that system. You can also log hours into the volunteer log-book in the school office. For your convenience, you may download an additional form. Hours are tracked from May 1 through April 30.

We understand that day-to-day life is busy enough for our families and trying to find time to volunteer is a challenge. Please contact education@carrollcreekmontessori.org with questions.

In-person volunteer Training will be offered at the start of each academic year.

Online training is available for those who are unable to attend in-person sessions. Please contact education@carrollcreekmontessori.org for information on online training.
