School Library Policy

Library Overview
Use of the CCMPCS Library is free and open to all students of CCMPCS.  Students may visit the library during their scheduled library hours for their classroom whether they have returned their library books or not.  Kindergarten and Lower El students have assigned library days and times (see schedule), while Upper El and Middle School students may visit any time during "Open Time" library hours (see schedule).

By using the school library, students and parents agree to uphold the following policies and procedures:

Library Hours
Tuesday through Thursday: 11:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Borrowing Books
Primary students may check out one book at a time.  Lower and Upper Elementary students may check out two books at a time. The loan period is two weeks.  After two weeks, students must return the book(s) to check out another item.  Students may choose to renew their book(s) for an additional two weeks.

Also, students may return books any time prior to the end of the two week loan to the designated baskets located at each library door.

Lost or Damaged Books
If a student has lost or significantly damaged a book, the family can either pay fair market value of the book (determined in conjunction with the Library Chair) or replace the book with an item in the same format (e.g., paperback or hardback, same publication year or edition) that is in good condition.

If your child has lost or damaged a book, please send a note into the library and we will send you a note home with what to do next.
