I was born and grew up in Pennsylvania. I graduated from Millersville University with a degree in Secondary Education majoring in German during which time I studied at Phillips University in Marburg, Germany my junior year. Beginning in 1992, I taught German at several high schools in the county including Governor Thomas Johnson, Walkersville, Brunswick and finally Urbana when it opened. I also started teaching ESOL classes for adults in 1997 in the evenings. When our daughter was born in 2003, I "retired" from teaching high school and continued with the ESOL program part time. My daughter and I began our elementary careers in 2008 when I joined the staff here at Ballenger Creek as an ELL teacher.
