I grew up in a small town in Chester County, Pennsylvania. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Mansfield University in Mansfield PA. I earned my Master of Arts degree at Hood College in Frederick, MD.
I began my teaching career at Walkersville Elementary School. When Ballenger Creek Elementary School opened in 1991 I was hired as a fifth grade teacher. Three years later I moved to third grade, and I've been there ever since. My passion for teaching and learning keeps me in the classroom. I'm lucky to have a job that I love. I enjoy the enthusiasm and energy that my students bring to school everyday. My students keep me laughing. I think someday I should write a book; oh, the stories I could tell!
I live in Frederick County with my husband. We have two grown daughters.
