Shirley Domurot

My name is Shirley Domurot and I am a Special Education Instructional Assistant at Oakdale Elementary School.  I believe that childhood is a time of exploration, learning, growing, and attaining skills, and developing a sense of oneself and the world.  I believe this is true for all children, regardless of their capabilities.  I believe in an enjoyable educational experience where children feel safe to explore their atmosphere and are challenged to reach new goals.  From direct instruction to play groups I will assist in creating an environment that fosters the development of these characteristics of childhood.  I will assist the teacher in providing a full array of services to help exceptional children reach their highest potential.
