Welcome to fourth grade! My name is Mari Lynn Stalnaker and I have been a teacher in the Frederick County Public Schools for twenty years. I have taught second, third and fourth grades. As a child, I attended and graduated from Frederick County Public Schools. I have earned a BA in Elementary Education from Shepherd University and a MS in Educational Leadership from Hood College. I always enjoy learning new things and become very excited watching students learn and expand their knowledge! I understand that each child learns differently and I strive to meet the needs of all students so that their fourth grade experience is successful. Outside of school I am kept busy with my family. I have two sons, both in high school this year. My husband is a chef and general manager with Sodexo. At home we have a dog (a very rambunctious Chesapeake Bay Retriever), and very cute rescued cat from the Frederick County Animal Shelter. One of my favorite things to do in my spare time is to play the piano. I started taking lessons when was in kindergarten and continued until college! Now I play the piano every Sunday morning in my church.
