Welcome to fourth grade! My name is Mari Lynn Stalnaker and I have been a teacher in the Frederick County Public Schools for twenty-four years where I have taught second, third, and fourth grades. I am also the STEM Leader at MES.

As a child, I attended and graduated from Frederick County Public Schools. I have earned a BA in Elementary Education from Shepherd University and a MS in Educational Leadership from Hood College.

I always enjoy learning new things and become very excited watching students learn and expand their knowledge! I understand that each child learns differently and I strive to meet the needs of all students so that their fourth grade experience is successful.

Outside of school I am kept busy with my family. I have two sons, one is a senior at Union University in Tennessee and the other is a sophomore at Liberty University in Virginia.  My husband is a chef and area general manager with Sodexo. At home I have several cats, a rescued beagle mix, and I also enjoy being outside gardening.  One of my favorite things to do in my spare time is to play the piano. I started taking lessons when was in kindergarten and continued until college! Now I play the piano every Sunday morning in my church.
