The primary focus of our local PTSA is to support academics at BHS. In addition to helping BHS and its students, when you become a member of the PTSA, you are also joining citizens around the county, state and nation in securing adequate laws for the education and protection of youth.
Meetings: Meetings are held every other month in the BHS Media Center on Wednesdays at 7pm. Dates for the upcoming year are: September 16, November 18, January 13, March 16 and May 18. Reminder emails will be announced via Find-out-first. Please join us for our first meeting on Wednesday September 16. Find-out-first is a great tool for learning about many upcoming details from BHS, BHS PTSA and Frederick County Board of Education so be sure to sign up online. To join, please complete the form below and bring or mail to the school (may be put in PTSA mailbox in the office, or mailed to the address listed below) along with your $10 membership fee (per person). Note that the BHS PTSA does no fundraising, so all income is via membership. Checks should be made payable to BHS PTSA. Optional Donation: Because the emphasis of the BHS PTSA is academic support, we do not engage in fundraising activities. Therefore, we depend entirely on parent and community donations to support the programs and activities with which we are involved. Programs such as the Reflections competition, school beautification and staff appreciation are some of the expenses we will encounter this year. Please consider an optional tax deductible contribution with your membership. We will mail receipts for your tax records to any contributions over $10.
