I am proud to say that I am a product of Frederick County Public Schools. I grew up in the Walkersville area and went through all of the schools in that feeder. I graduated with my undergraduate degree in education from Mt. St. Mary's University in 1997 and then returned for my master's degree. I graduate in 2006 with a masters in instructional technology.
I have spent my entire teaching career at BCES. I taught 9 years in second grade, 4 years in fifth grade and 3 years spending part time in fifth grade and part time working in math intervention. Helping students be successful in math is a passion of mine, and I love working with students in each of the grades.
Fifth grade is a great year for students. They have so many great learning opportunities and experiences as they end their elementary careers and prepare to move on to the next phase of their educational careers. I enjoy helping them get the most out of both of these experiences.
