I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal at Ballenger Creek Elementary School since July 2010.  I have enjoyed working with the staff, students, and families in this wonderful community!

You may be interested in learning a little more about me both professionally and personally.  I have lived in Frederick County for over 30 years, including the Kingsbrook community for several years.  I currently reside in Adamstown with my husband, a career firefighter in Loudoun County, VA, and our two children.  In addition to spending time with my family and friends, I also enjoy reading, skiing, and camping.

My educational career spans from Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth grades in the Frederick County Public School system.  I have been a Classroom Teacher in Grades 1, 2, and 3 at Wolfsville Elementary School, although I started my career as a Language Arts Teacher at Governor Thomas Johnson Middle School.    I’ve also worked as a Reading Specialist for Monocacy and Urbana Middle Schools.  I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Frostburg State University and a Masters Degree in Reading and Administrator Certification from Hood College.

I am proud of the hard work and dedication of our community to create a positive culture for learning and achievement at BCES.  I aspire to continue building relationships with students, staff, and families so that by working together, we can help all of the students at Ballenger Creek Elementary School to reach new heights in their academic achievement.  Let’s continue “Building a Better Tomorrow by Creating an Environment for Success Today!”
