As Community Liaison, I help to facilitate communication between home and school. A child achieves best in school when his/her family is actively involved in his/her education. To that end: I provide assistance to families in understanding school programs; direct families to appropriate agencies; encourage and assist with family involvement in school programs and coordinate with community leaders and organizations to build resources for families and students.
I also work closely with the BCES staff to support a child’s school success. This may include contacting families about attendance, transporting families to school events and communicating information between home and school.
I have been at Ballenger Creek Elementary School since 1997. I graduated from Hood College with a degree in Sociology/Social Work.
